Finding Administration & Finance policies
Policies related to Administration and Finance (A&F) departments are often found by searching the official University policies page. A&F policies in the process of being transitioned into the proper accessible format are temporarily found on our policy box Hub. A “policy” may also be a guideline or procedure and not an official University policy, in which case it will be available on the A&F site resource listing page.

Official University policies
In the context of the UR policy website, a policy is a set of guidelines, rules, and protocols formally adopted by the University of Rochester. These policies are central and broad in nature, having University-wide applications and they impact our collective faculty, staff, and students. Adopted policies undertake a rigorous policy approval process.
Administration & Finance interim policy hub
This Hub is an interim site for certain policies while they are in the process of being migrated to a new accessible template and the central repository for all University-wide policies.
The policies, procedures and guidelines in the Hub remain in effect during the transition.
Procedures and guidelines
Many Administration and Finance departments have procedures or guidelines they’ve adopted to ensure quality control and consistency, but which are not official University policies. The Administration and Finance resource listing page can be used to access all A&F policies and procedures. Some of the resources found here may overlap with the A&F interim policy hub or the official University policy page.
