To view and pay a student bill online you must have an active account in UR Student.

Financial aid awards and offices

Following receipt of all required documents, financial aid awards received by students will be used as anticipated credits against charges assessed. Questions concerning financial aid awards, including which documents must be submitted, should be directed to the appropriate Financial Aid Office found below.

Federal work study

If a student works on campus, Federal Work Study is paid to the student directly in a bi-weekly paycheck.  Therefore, it is not reflected on the student account as an anticipated credit.

Visit the Student Employment Office for more information about work study and other employment opportunities.

Tuition discounts

Non-matriculated senior citizens (60 and over) and alumni taking courses offered by the School of Arts & Sciences, the Hajim School of Engineering & Applied Sciences, or the School of Medicine and Dentistry are eligible for a $250 per course discount. Audited courses are eligible for a $100 per audited course discount.

Alumni who are also senior citizens qualify for a $500 per regular course or $200 per audited course discount.

Employee tuition benefits

University employees interested in receiving a tuition benefit should visit the Office of Total Rewards for complete details regarding eligibility requirements and available benefits. Once an employee tuition benefit for a course is approved by the Office of Total Rewards, the award is credited to the student account balance. The process for requesting tuition benefits must be completed by the employee each semester.

Employee tuition benefits for dependent children are processed and approved by both the Office of Total Rewards and the Financial Aid Office before they are credited to the student account balance.

Payment plans

The University offers a monthly payment plan option for matriculated students which consists of monthly payments for each semester. An administrative fee will be charged to your student account each semester when this plan is chosen. Payment plans are not available to non-matriculated students.

Education tax credits

Families filing a U.S. tax return may be eligible for educational tax credits when claiming their student as a dependent. A University issued Form 1098-T is required to claim these benefits for the tuition expense for higher education such as the Lifetime Learning Tax Credit (LLC) or the American Opportunity Tax Credit (AOTC).
