Visitor parking options on the Health Sciences Campus
The Health Sciences Campus (Med Center) offers convenient and reliable parking for patients and visitors.
Handicapped parking spaces are available in all lots and on all levels of the hospital garage. Spaces on the ground floor of the garage are available to accommodate oversized vans.

- Open for parking 24 hours a day, 7 days per week

- Yellow Ramp: entrance/exit are on East Drive
- Blue Ramp: accessed by hospital’s main loop on Thomas Jackson Drive
Accessibility & Oversized Vehicles
Handicapped parking spaces are available on all levels of the garage. Oversized van spaces are located on the ground floor.

The Medical Research Building (MRB) parking lot is located at 425 Elmwood Avenue.
The Saunders Research Building (SRB) Lot is located at 265 Crittenden Boulevard.

- If driving yourself, see the Emergency Department parking attendant prior to parking in the ED lot. The Emergency Department parking lot is reserved for patients who drive themselves only. There is no fee for patients.
- After dropping off patients at the Emergency Department door (do not go to the ambulance bay), visitors may park in the hospital garage.

Visitors who misplace their parking ticket will be charged the $6 daily rate.
Discount advance purchase passes
Discounted parking passes can be purchased at the Visitor Parking office on the ground level of the Strong Memorial Hospital Garage.

Passes expire after one year and can be shared with visiting family members or friends.

Please take your parking ticket with you while visiting to pay before exiting.

Automated Pay Stations — Located in the elevator lobbies on the ground and first floors; accept cash, credit cards, and validation stickers.

Pay-in-Lane Exit Stations — All exit lanes accept credit cards and validation stickers.

Strong Memorial Hospital Garage
Visit the Parking office on the ground floor of the garage, Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. until 11 p.m. and on weekends, 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. The Parking office may also be reached by calling 585-275-4524.
How to use pay stations
- Upon entry into lot, wave your hand in front of entry lane machine and pull a ticket.
- When exiting with your vehicle, scan your ticket in the exit lane. If you have a parking validation:
- Scan the barcode. In some cases, your validation may be electronically validated. In this case, the gate arms will raise automatically without the need to scan the validation.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to make your payment. Cash, credit card, and validation are accepted.
- Need help? Parking representatives can assist at the push of a button using the intercom on the pay machines.

A reduced rate is available for oncology patients only.
Vehicle drop-off
Drive into the traffic circle and signal a parking representative or hospital ambassador. The valet will give you a ticket stub, which you will need to claim your vehicle after your visit.
Vehicle pick-up
Go to the valet desk in the hospital or Cancer Center lobby and provide your valet ticket stub. You may also call the number on the bottom of the ticket to have your vehicle ready for pick-up.
If you are leaving the hospital or Cancer Center after 5 p.m., speak with an ambassador, who will contact Parking. You may also use the valet phone in the hospital’s main lobby or call Parking at (585) 275-4524. A parking representative will come to the lobby to assist you.
