Payee registration
Step 1: watch for the email invitation
- You will receive an email from Candex with a secure link to request your payment.
- This email is sent after the University authorizes your payment.
Step 2: register in Candex
- As a first-time payees you will receive an email from Candex asking you to complete a one-minute registration so you can be paid by the University electronically through Candex. (Monitor your junk and spam mail folders.) Candex supports 14+ languages, and you will be able to select your native language during registration.
- Enter your personal or company information.
- Upload the required tax form (W-9 for U.S. persons, W-8 for non-U.S. persons).
- Click “Pay To” and add your preferred bank account details or your company information.
Step 3: request your payment
- Select your pending payment in Candex.
- Review the payment details and complete any required information.
- If needed, click “Invite Finance” to request that the finance team complete the payment request.
- In the Tax section, click “view/edit” to edit the section as required. Payees who do not need to claim taxes must enter “0.”
- Submit your payment request.
Optional step 4: track your payment status
- Log in to Candex anytime to check the status of your payment.
- Status updates are displayed in your Candex account under “Orders > Payment Details.”
Optional step 5: update your information
- To update your profile or banking information, log in and go to “Settings > Entities.”
Notifications from Candex
- Important notifications are automatically sent to both Payees and the University.
- Candex sends email reminders to Payees when action is required.
- If a payment request has not been accepted within 10 days, Candex notifies the Requester (University).
