How to request a quote

  1. Login to Open Markets with your Domain name and password.
  2. If it is your first time using the platform, you will need to set up a profile. Click “Get Started” for assistance.
  3. Search for UR standard equipment by category or service line, and submit a request for a quote.
  4. When you receive an email indicating that the quote is prepared, log back into Open Markets and click “Formulary” and then “My Requests.”
  5. Click on your quote to review, then click the green link under the heading “Quotes” on the lower left to open the details.
  6. Here, you can download the quote or create a Workday requisition from the quote. You can also add a teammate if you would like them to view or take action on the quote. If you are not a Workday initiator, you will need to add your department initiator to the quote in order to create a Workday req.
  7. Click “Create Workday Requisition” then choose the quote and select the vendor name and ID. Be sure to select the correct vendor ID if more than one is listed. Click “Submit” to route the req to Workday where it can be edited to include the ship-to information, spend category, commodity, and worktags (FAO) before submitting.
  8. Your Workday requisition number will now appear in Open Markets to help you search and view the requisition in Workday if needed.
  9. Medline quotes need to be downloaded and ordered with a Web requisition (312) sent via email to Purchasing.
