What we do
Responsible for the production, distribution and efficient use of the campus’ energy and utility needs, we have 60 staff that work 24 hours a day, seven days a week providing reliable, efficient, cost effective, and environmentally friendly utilities.

Our services
Various units within Energy Services make sure the production and distribution of energy is safe and comfortable for everyone. Through multiple areas of expertise, we provide diverse functions to maintain the University’s energy systems.
Building automation
Facilitates the efficient, automatic operation of Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems throughout the University and Medical Center.
Conservation
Ensures customers have quality utilities at the lowest cost possible and help everyone become more energy efficient and sustainable.
Distribution
Maintains, repairs and replaces non-electric utility distribution systems and manage planned and unplanned outages.
Finance
Responsible for all accounting services within Energy Services as well as oversite of all utilities for all of the University.
Production
Management of all utility generation and distribution systems including electricity, chilled water, steam, hot water, co-gen, natural gas, water, sewer and meters.
