Materials Management Department

Responsible for the procurement of service and materials used by the Facilities organization in the operation and maintenance of the University’s physical spaces, we source and stock parts and materials and bid, audit, and manage vendors.

Office of University Audit

Provide independent internal audit and advisory services to the University community by assessing risks, analyzing controls, and ensuring that business practices are effective, efficient, and compliant with University and regulatory policies.

Parking Department

Manages the University of Rochester’s parking program, including permits, lots and garages, enforcement, and operations that support faculty, staff, students, and visitors.

Payroll Office

Ensures accurate and timely payment to University of Rochester faculty, staff, and students in compliance with University policies and federal and state regulations. Administers payroll processing, tax reporting, year-end forms, payroll adjustments, and related payroll services, and provides guidance on payroll procedures and requirements.

Planning, Design & Construction Department

Responsible for the execution of the University of Rochester’s major construction and renovation projects: typical services include management of design, engineering and construction services, and professional service contracts.

Procurement Department

Leadership, management, and customer service for purchasing goods and services at all University and Rochester academic and medical locations including sourcing, supplier guidance, vendor management, sustainability, and contracts

Real Estate

The Real Estate team oversees the portfolio and property management of the University of Rochester’s 12+ million square foot real estate portfolio of leased, owned, and licensed property. This includes property acquisitions and dispositions, leasing and licensing, landlord-tenant relations, lease and other contract compliance, and property and portfolio-level financial management, such as budgeting, expense management, collection and payment of rent, and reconciliations.

Tax Compliance and Planning Office

The tax department contributes to the development and update of tax policies and procedures and works closely with the university community by educating and informing them as to the tax aspects of their current and future transactions. In meeting these objectives, we assist in protecting the tax-exempt status of the University.
